Archiving Policy
The Journal of Electrochemical Science and Hydrogen Technology (JESHT) recognizes the importance of preserving published scholarly content and ensuring its long-term accessibility. The journal is committed to maintaining the integrity, availability, and discoverability of its published articles through appropriate digital preservation and archiving practices.
Digital Preservation
JESHT maintains digital copies of published articles, including their associated metadata and publication information, within its journal management and publishing systems. The journal takes reasonable measures to protect published content against accidental loss, technical failure, or unauthorized modification.
Long-Term Preservation
The journal intends to participate in recognized digital preservation and archiving services to support the long-term availability of its scholarly record. Where applicable, published content may be preserved through services such as LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe), CLOCKSS, PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), or other recognized institutional and digital preservation systems.
Participation in specific third-party preservation services will be indicated on the journal website once the relevant preservation arrangement has been established.
Author Self-Archiving
Authors may retain and share copies of their published work in accordance with the journal's copyright and licensing terms. Authors may deposit the permitted version of their article in institutional repositories, subject-based repositories, or other appropriate scholarly platforms, subject to the applicable publication license.
Repository and Indexing Preservation
JESHT may make its article metadata available to scholarly discovery, repository, and preservation services through standard publishing protocols and metadata formats. This helps support the continued discoverability and accessibility of the journal's scholarly content.
Continuity of Access
In the event of a change in the journal's publishing platform, website, or hosting provider, reasonable measures will be taken to preserve the published scholarly record and maintain access to previously published articles. Article metadata, DOI information, bibliographic records, and publication files will be retained where technically possible.
Preservation of the Scholarly Record
The journal considers the published scholarly record to be a permanent academic resource. Articles that have been published will remain part of the journal's archive except where removal is required in accordance with applicable publication-ethics procedures, legal requirements, or a formal retraction or correction process.
JESHT will periodically review its digital preservation arrangements and may adopt additional recognized archiving services as the journal develops.
