Author Guidelines

The Open Access Research & Innovation Journal (OARIJ) welcomes original, high-quality research articles, review papers, case studies, and technical reports from all fields of science, engineering, management, technology, and innovation. Authors submitting manuscripts must ensure that their work meets the journal’s academic, ethical, and formatting standards as described below.

1. Manuscript Types Accepted

OARIJ accepts the following categories:

  • Original Research Articles

  • Review Papers

  • Short Communications

  • Case Studies

  • Technical Notes

  • Editorials (by invitation)

2. Manuscript Preparation Requirements

2.1. Article Structure (Mandatory)

All manuscripts must follow the below structure:

  1. Title (clear, concise, ≤ 20 words)

  2. Author(s) Names & Affiliations

  3. Abstract (150–250 words)

  4. Keywords (4–8 relevant terms)

  5. Introduction

  6. Literature Review (optional)

  7. Methodology

  8. Results and Discussion

  9. Conclusion

  10. Acknowledgement (optional)

  11. Funding Details (if any)

  12. References

3. Formatting Guidelines

3.1 Document Format

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx)

  • Font: Times New Roman

  • Font size: 12 pt (body), 14 pt (heading)

  • Line spacing: 1.5

  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides

  • Paper size: A4

4. Abstract & Keywords

  • Abstract must contain:
    ✔ Purpose
    ✔ Methods
    ✔ Results
    ✔ Key Findings

  • Avoid citations in abstract

  • Add 4–8 keywords separated by commas

5. Figures & Tables

  • All figures must be high resolution (300 DPI)

  • Use Figure 1, Figure 2…

  • Tables must be numbered: Table 1, Table 2…

  • Insert figures/tables near the relevant text

6. Referencing Style

OARIJ follows the  IEEE, APA 7th Edition referencing format.

Examples:

Journal Article:
Smith, A. (2021). Title of the article. Journal Name, 12(2), 34–45.

Book:
Brown, L. (2019). Book Title. Publisher.

Author. (Year). Title. URL

7. Submission Checklist

Before submitting, ensure your manuscript:

✔ Is original and not under review elsewhere
✔ Follows journal formatting
✔ Includes all authors with correct affiliations
✔ Contains ethical compliance statements
✔ Includes tables/figures with proper numbering
✔ Includes references in APA 7 format

8. Ethical Responsibilities

Authors must confirm:

  • No plagiarism (≤10–15% similarity allowed)

  • No fabricated or manipulated data

  • No duplicate submissions

  • Ethical approval for human/animal studies

  • All co-authors approve the final version

9. Copyright & License

OARIJ publishes articles under CC BY 4.0 International License, allowing free distribution with proper citation.

Authors retain copyright.

10. Submission Process

Authors must:

  1. Create an account in the OJS system

  2. Upload the manuscript file (.doc/.docx)

  3. Upload supplementary files (figures, datasets, etc.)

  4. Provide metadata (title, abstract, keywords)

  5. Confirm submission checklist

  6. Complete submission

11. Article Processing Charges (APC)

OARIJ currently charges:

  • Publication Fee: $100

12. Peer Review Process

OARIJ follows a double-blind peer review:

  • Initial editorial screening

  • Similarity check

  • Assignment to reviewers

  • Review report within 2–4 weeks

  • Revision (if required)

  • Final acceptance by Editor-in-Chief
