The Journal of Nursing and Patient Care (JNPC) invites high-quality original research, review articles, case studies, and clinical reports in the fields of nursing, healthcare, and patient care. Authors are requested to carefully follow these guidelines to ensure a smooth submission and publication process.


1. Scope of the Journal

JNPC publishes manuscripts related to:

  • Nursing practice and education
  • Patient care and clinical management
  • Healthcare systems and policies
  • Public health and community nursing
  • Evidence-based nursing research
  • Healthcare technologies and innovations

2. Types of Manuscripts Accepted

The journal accepts the following categories:

  • Original Research Articles
  • Review Articles (systematic and narrative)
  • Case Reports / Case Studies
  • Short Communications
  • Editorials and Commentaries

3. Manuscript Preparation

Language

  • Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise English

File Format

  • Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format

Structure of the Manuscript

Authors should organize their manuscript as follows:

  1. Title Page
    • Title of the article
    • Author(s) name(s) and affiliation(s)
    • Corresponding author details (email, contact information)
  2. Abstract
    • 150–250 words
    • Structured (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion)
  3. Keywords
    • 4–6 relevant keywords
  4. Main Text
    • Introduction
    • Methods
    • Results
    • Discussion
    • Conclusion
  5. Acknowledgments (if any)
  6. Conflict of Interest Statement
  7. References

4. Formatting Guidelines

  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12
  • Line spacing: 1.5
  • Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
  • Page numbers: Bottom center or right

5. Referencing Style

JNPC recommends using standard referencing styles such as:

  • IEEE 

Authors must ensure:

  • Accurate and complete references
  • Proper citation of all sources

6. Ethical Requirements

Authors must comply with the journal’s ethical standards aligned with the Committee on Publication Ethics:

  • Obtain ethical approval for studies involving human subjects
  • Provide informed consent from participants
  • Maintain patient confidentiality
  • Avoid plagiarism and data manipulation

7. Plagiarism Check

All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection tools such as Turnitin.

  • Acceptable similarity index: ≤10–15%
  • Higher similarity may lead to rejection or revision requests
