The Journal of Nursing and Patient Care (JNPC) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity in scholarly research. The journal follows internationally recognized ethical guidelines to ensure transparency, accountability, and trust in academic publishing within the fields of nursing and patient care.

JNPC aligns its ethical practices with the principles outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics and other global standards for responsible research and publication.


1. Responsibilities of Authors

Authors submitting to JNPC must adhere to the following ethical standards:

Originality and Plagiarism

  • Manuscripts must be original and not published or under review elsewhere
  • Proper citation and acknowledgment of all sources are required
  • Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited

Data Integrity

  • Authors must present accurate, honest, and reliable data
  • Fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of data is unethical and unacceptable

Multiple Submissions

  • Simultaneous submission to multiple journals is not allowed

Authorship Criteria

  • Only individuals who have made significant contributions should be listed as authors
  • All co-authors must approve the final manuscript

2. Ethical Approval and Patient Consent

For research involving human subjects, authors must ensure:

3. Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers play a critical role in maintaining the quality of publications and are expected to:

  • Avoid conflicts of interest
  • Report any ethical concerns such as plagiarism or data duplication

4. Responsibilities of Editors

The editorial team of JNPC is responsible for:

  • Ensuring a fair and unbiased peer review process
  • Maintaining confidentiality of submissions
  • Making decisions based on academic merit and relevance
  • Addressing ethical concerns promptly and transparently

Editors must not use unpublished materials for personal research without author consent.


5. Conflict of Interest

All participants in the publication process (authors, reviewers, editors) must disclose any financial, personal, or professional conflicts of interest that may influence the research or its evaluation.


6. Publication Misconduct

JNPC does not tolerate any form of publication misconduct, including:

  • Duplicate publication
  • Citation manipulation

Any suspected misconduct will be investigated in accordance with COPE guidelines.


7. Retraction and Corrections Policy

If errors or ethical violations are identified after publication, JNPC will take appropriate action, including:

8. Confidentiality

All submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential documents. Information must not be disclosed to unauthorized individuals during the review and publication process.
